The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
King is looking to slow Dinkin down with leg kicks.

The crowd cheers as King lands an impressive looking overhand right. Dinkin doesn't seem phased though.

Dinkin throws a lazy right hand but King sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

King scores with a takedown into Dinkin's guard.
King stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Dinkin swivels though and keeps the full guard.

King postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Dinkin is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of King, into his guard.
Dinkin seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Dinkin is looking to take a break and control but King is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
King is looking for a sweep.
King gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.

King tries to roll over but Dinkin keeps him under control.
King moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.

Ramses Dinkin has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.

King changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Dinkin looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Dinkin parries the strikes from King easily there. King is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Dinkin to escape.

King stalling away here and it's allowed Dinkin to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.
King tries to free his leg and advance position but Dinkin is retaining full guard.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Ramses Dinkin.
I think Dinkin has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

A very excited looking Ramses Dinkin made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
