Kid throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Douglass.

Kid drops his shoulder and cracks Douglass with a huge uppercut! Douglass goes down! Can Kid finish him?

The ref stands the fighters back up. Brady Douglass wasn't doing enough on the ground.

Kid steps into range and cracks Douglass with a monster punch that buckles his knees! Douglass flops backwards and Kid dives into his guard looking to finish!
Oh Douglass is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!

It looks like Brady Douglass has been cut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Kid advances to half guard.
Douglass seems to have got his legs back now.
Kid slows the pace down in half guard.

Douglass tries to kick Kid off but Kid keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Kid looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

Billy Kid has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.

Kid cracks Douglass with a big right hand and Douglass goes down!
Kid stays in close to Douglass's body and controls the position.

Kid's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
Kid must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Douglass is breathing heavily.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Billy Kid wasn't active enough on the ground.
No joy there for Kid, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Kid sees an opening and throws a straight punch right through Douglass's defenses. It connects perfectly with Douglass's jaw and knocks him out cold! Wow - that's a contender for knockout of the year - absolutely brutal!
