Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Duke Gibbons (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Leif Nygard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Nygard comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Dread Zeppelin - Immigrant Song kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The judges for this bout are Eliza Hachem, Hugh Johnson and Skip Squint.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gibbons ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Nygard moves away.
Nygard scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
Nygard lands with a nice body punch.
Gibbons lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
It looks like Leif Nygard has been cut.
Gibbons tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Gibbons takes a shot to the body in his stride.
The crowd cheers as Nygard lands an impressive looking overhand right. Gibbons doesn't seem phased though.
Nygard gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Gibbons bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Nygard's head.

Gibbons is looking to wear down Nygard with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.
Nygard digs a good hook to Gibbons's body.
Nygard moves out of range as Gibbons strikes.
Nygard bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Gibbons's head backwards.
Gibbons throws a series of punches but Nygard avoids them all with ease.
Nygard is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Gibbons had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.
Nygard tries a head kick but it misses.

Gibbons tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Nygard misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Nygard throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.
Nygard sizes up Gibbons with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Gibbons bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.

Nygard turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Nygard lands with an uppercut that bounces Gibbons off the cage and back into range.
Gibbons throws a shot from downtown. Nygard moves away and avoids it.
Nygard stuffs the takedown attempt from Gibbons. Gibbons gets slowly back to his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Duke Gibbons. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Gibbons is trying hard to land a takedown here. Nygard sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

Nygard steps in with a hook that catches Gibbons right on the chin and knocks him to the floor! Nygard follows him down with more strikes and that's all she wrote! Gibbons looks absolutely devastated.
