PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Tj Shields (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dante Vader (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Tj Shields has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Tj Shields seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No joy there for Vader, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Vader will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Shields takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Vader catches Shields with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Vader shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Shields sprawls well. Shields wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Vader gets slowly back to his feet.

and Shields counters by moving into the clinch.

Shields turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Shields manages to end up in side control.
Shields connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Vader some visible discomfort.

Shields tries to advance to mount but Vader denies him.

Vader takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.

Shields cracks Vader with an elbow. That is naaassty.
