Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Robert Douchet and Gregory Folan.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McGobblecock misses with a double jab.
Jones Jr throws a one two combo.
McGobblecock throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Jones Jr counters with a lovely shot to the body.
McGobblecock fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Jones Jr lands a jab to the nose.
McGobblecock misses with a body shot.
McGobblecock jabbing away but nothing is landing.
McGobblecock looks to land a right hand but Jones Jr moved out of range.
Jones Jr changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
McGobblecock shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Jones Jr sprawls well. Jones Jr wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. McGobblecock gets slowly back to his feet.
McGobblecock shoots in for a double leg but Jones Jr sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Jones Jr punishes McGobblecock's body with a nice straight punch.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Jones Jr enables McGobblecock to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Jones Jr manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Jones Jr will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
McGobblecock must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Jones Jr wants to stand up but McGobblecock is controlling him.

McGobblecock wants to control from the top but Jones Jr keeps moving.

McGobblecock really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Jones Jr. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
McGobblecock throws a strike but Jones Jr rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

McGobblecock wants to sweep but no luck.
McGobblecock is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

McGobblecock has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Jones Jr can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Jones Jr is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

McGobblecock wants to sweep here but Jones Jr controlling him for the moment.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Jack Jones Jr just wasn't active enough.
Jones Jr ducks down and throws a hook to the body but McGobblecock moves away.
Jones Jr's hands are dropping dangerously low here and McGobblecock connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Jones Jr scrambles back to his feet.
McGobblecock pushing out the jab but it's not landing.

McGobblecock is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Jones Jr's half guard.
McGobblecock lands strikes from half guard.
McGobblecock is stalling here. Jones Jr is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! McGobblecock seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Jones Jr has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.
McGobblecock can't do much from the bottom here.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Jones Jr working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter.

Jones Jr decides to take the fight back to the feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

BJ McGobblecock dominated that round.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Jones Jr misses with an uppercut.
Jones Jr ducks under a wild hook from McGobblecock.
McGobblecock scores with the left hand. Jones Jr knows he should have avoided that one.
A telegraphed right hand from McGobblecock misses the target.
McGobblecock throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
McGobblecock lands a jab-cross combination.


Jones Jr is rocked!
McGobblecock drops Jones Jr with a big left hand! Jones Jr is injured, injured bad! McGobblecock jumps in and finished him with strikes! The fight is over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:35 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). BJ McGobblecock!
