Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between William Hartwell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Horacio Vanderbeet (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, William Hartwell!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Horacio Vanderbeet!
The judges for this bout are Aleksandr Martynov, Vladimir Khabensky and Ivan Kurochkin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Vanderbeet drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Vanderbeet postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Vanderbeet lands an elbow.
Vanderbeet working the ground and pound.
Vanderbeet works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.
Vanderbeet misses with an attempted head punch from side control.
Vanderbeet throwing strikes but missing, from side control.
Vanderbeet creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Hartwell sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
Hartwell takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Hartwell parries the strikes from Vanderbeet easily there. Vanderbeet is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Hartwell to escape.
Vanderbeet sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Hartwell is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Vanderbeet is trying to ground and pound but Hartwell uses the momentary lack of control by Vanderbeet to regain half guard.

Vanderbeet sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Hartwell's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Vanderbeet thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Hartwell's head.
Vanderbeet tries to pass the half guard into mount. Hartwell knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Vanderbeet connects with a nice short shot to Hartwell's temple.
Vanderbeet working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

That was a close second round but I would say that William Hartwell will probably get the nod.

William Hartwell showed his dominance in that final round.
