Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Augusto Pinochet (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cory Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Smith has chosen Metallica - Enter Sandman as his entrance music. Augusto Pinochet has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A jab from Smith does it's job there.
Smith ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Smith looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Pinochet is fending him off so far but Smith persists. Nope, Pinochet circles away and we're back to standing.
Pinochet shoots in for a takedown but Smith shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Smith fails to land the takedown.

Smith rushes Pinochet and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Smith drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Pinochet gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Augusto Pinochet has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Cory Smith.
Smith can't find room to land a body shot as Pinochet controls the action.
Pinochet goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Pinochet tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Smith smiles and moves away.

Pinochet throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Smith was covering up waiting for the punch and Pinochet finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Horrible takedown by Pinochet or perhaps it was just good defense by Smith which made him look bad.

Smith closes this distance looking for a takedown but Pinochet circles away.
Pinochet misses with an uppercut.

Pinochet drives through with a takedown into guard.
Pinochet is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

Pinochet slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Smith lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Pinochet!

Smith lands a big shot there that rocks Pinochet but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

Smith is looking to advance position but Pinochet won't allow it.
Smith is trying to control the action in half guard but Pinochet is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Pinochet trying to hold on to Smith's head to control him but Smith postures up.
Smith drops an elbow to the side of Pinochet's head.
Smith trying to mount his opponent but Pinochet defends it.
Pinochet is in trouble now - Smith has advanced to mount!
Poor strikes thrown by Smith there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!

Smith swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Pinochet is now in Smith's guard. A big mistake from Smith there, giving up the dominant position!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Smith wants to sweep but no luck.
Pinochet wants to control from the top but Smith keeps moving.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Pinochet stands and throws Smith's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Smith is not content to let Pinochet control the position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Smith tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Pinochet manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Smith throws a body punch but Pinochet moves out of range.

That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Augusto Pinochet. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Smith closes the distance and pushes Pinochet back into the cage.

Smith wants the takedown. Pinochet is fighting it off but Smith persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Pinochet's guard against the cage.

Smith slips a nice elbow through Pinochet's hands, connecting with Pinochet's forehead.

Pinochet has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Smith is working away from the top position though.

Pinochet is working on a guillotine. He's managed to get to full guard and he's really squeezing tight! Smith is tapping! Great win for Pinochet!
