Diaz tries to score a power double leg takedown but Beam sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Diaz somewhat.
Beam shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Diaz pinned against the cage. Diaz gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Beam looks to land a right hand but Diaz moved out of range.

Beam misses the shot to the body.

and Diaz counters with a right hand to the body.

letting Diaz counter with a right hand.
Beam is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Beam throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Diaz cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Beam closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Diaz did well to prevent Beam getting side control.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Diaz slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.

Beam sitting in guard doing not very much at all here. Diaz doesn't need a second invitation though! He's locked up a guillotine and he's squeezing tight! That is tiiiiiiiiight! Beam paying the price for stalling here - he's pushing hard on the arm trying to free himself but it's no use! He's tapped! WOW, quick submission from Diaz - great work!
