Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Beau Williams!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Mike Smith!
The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Steve Smith and Trevor Gratis.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Williams fails with a takedown attempt.
Smith looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Smith throws a right hand that Williams ducks under and follows up with a left that Williams also avoids with ease.
Beau Williams seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Williams rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Smith moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Williams decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Smith, up you get!

Williams works his way into side control.
Williams remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

Smith seems to have recovered his senses.
Williams wants to control but Smith is keeping him busy.
Smith pushes Williams away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Williams gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

Williams decides to stand back up.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Williams shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Smith manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Williams changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Smith looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Williams cracks Smith with a big elbow. Oh, he's hurt! Williams immediately mounts and start dropping bombs! Smith is done! The referee jumps in and saves him from any more punishment - a quick and decisive finish by Williams!
