Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Lew Jenkins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Antonio Da Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Da Silva has chosen Scary Monster And Night Sprites as his entrance music. On his way into the cage it seems that Lew Jenkins has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Lew Jenkins seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No joy there for Da Silva, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Da Silva takes a body punch but keeps moving.

Jenkins clinches up with Da Silva and pushes him back against the cage.

Jenkins pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Da Silva swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Da Silva looks to land a combination but Jenkins avoids it well.
Jenkins lands a slapping body shot.

Da Silva tries to sprawl but Jenkins drives through with a takedown into half guard.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Jenkins is controlling the pace.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Da Silva pushes Jenkins off but Jenkins dives into side control.
Da Silva is pushing Jenkins's head away, looking to escape. Jenkins manages to hold on to the position though.

Jenkins has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.

Jenkins stands up from the dominant position, so we're back on the feet.

Jenkins shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Da Silva's guard.

Jenkins is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Jenkins seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Da Silva for as long as he can get away with.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Da Silva swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Da Silva enables Jenkins to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Da Silva manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

The referee asks Jenkins politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Jenkins prefers to stall for the moment though.
Da Silva is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Jenkins is controlling him well.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

Jenkins decides to stand back up.
Jenkins tries to clinch but Da Silva is having none of it.

Jenkins takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Jenkins connects with a nice short shot to Da Silva's temple.
Jenkins seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.

Jenkins decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.
Da Silva walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.

Jenkins moves into the clinch successfully.
Da Silva wants to break free but Jenkins has control.

Jenkins escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Jenkins is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Da Silva's half guard.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Jenkins in particular looking to stall.
