The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Young thows a body shot but no joy.
McLaren jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Young moves out of range as McLaren strikes.
McLaren throws a hook but Young avoids it easily.
McLaren shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Young counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps McLaren thinking.

McLaren rushes Young and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
McLaren lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage.

McLaren breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
McLaren lands with a nice body punch.
Young throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

McLaren closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Young did well to prevent McLaren getting side control.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Young connects with a good right hand that stumbles McLaren. McLaren circles away out of range and recomposes himself.

McLaren is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

McLaren escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Young gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Well McLaren has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
