Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Flako Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Arne Riseman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gracie comes to the cage accompanied by Pull Me Under - Dream Theater. This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 18 - 15 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Flako Gracie!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 18 - 11 - 1, fighting out of Helsinki, Arne Riseman!
The judges for this bout are Ben Zyskovitsi, Arvi Lind and Marco Blurström.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Riseman lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Riseman throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.


It looks like Flako Gracie has been cut.
No luck for Gracie with that takedown attempt.
Riseman rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Gracie moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Gracie avoids a low kick by using good footwork.
Riseman throws a head kick that misses.
Riseman looks to land a combination but Gracie avoids it well.
Riseman misses with a double jab.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Riseman misses with a lunging right hand

and Gracie counters with a takedown into side control.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Riseman stops Gracie from passing to mount.
Gracie lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face.
Gracie tries to advance to mount but Riseman instead regains half guard.
Gracie has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Gracie is looking for a kimura but Riseman is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Gracie to get the leverage.
Riseman is looking to improve his position.
Gracie not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Gracie is looking to take a break and control but Riseman is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Riseman trying to hold on to Gracie's head to control him but Gracie postures up.

Riseman moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Riseman wants to get back to his feet but Gracie is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Gracie wants to control from the top but Riseman keeps moving.
Gracie seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

We're going to have a standup here because Flako Gracie wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Riseman lands with a straight right. Gracie didn't see that one coming.
Riseman moves out of range of the body kick.
Riseman checks a low kick from Gracie.

Gracie shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Riseman sprawls well. Riseman wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Gracie gets slowly back to his feet.
Riseman swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Gracie looks to throw the jab but Riseman is out of range.
An inside leg kick lands from Gracie.
Riseman throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Riseman throws a nice looking combination but Gracie bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
A decent looking body kick lands there for Gracie.
Gracie throws an off balance right hand
and Riseman counters with a left to the body.
Gracie throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Riseman fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Gracie scores with the left hand. Riseman knows he should have avoided that one.
Gracie throws a hook but Riseman blocks it.
Riseman fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Riseman rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Gracie moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Gracie lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Riseman ducks under a wild hook from Gracie.
Nice straight punches there by Gracie. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Gracie.
Gracie fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Flako Gracie. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Riseman tries to move into range but Gracie moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Gracie shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Gracie throws a leg kick which misses Riseman's front leg but catches the back leg as Riseman tries to avoid it.
Riseman tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Gracie was well out of range. Poor timing from Riseman.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Riseman checks a leg kick.
That kick from Riseman tenderised Gracie's leg. Gracie is trying to keep his angry face on.
Riseman avoids the head kick by Gracie.
A combination from Gracie does no damage.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Flako Gracie will probably get the nod.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Gracie fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Riseman on the side of the head.
Gracie fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Riseman manages to avoid it.
Gracie throws a leg kick but Riseman checks it.
Gracie lands a really nice looking cross but Riseman seems unphased.
Gracie slips a jab and a cross from Riseman.
Riseman throws a right and a left that Gracie avoids nicely.
Riseman looks to land a combination but Gracie avoids it well.
Riseman throws a big shot that misses.

Gracie drives through with a takedown into Riseman's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
Gracie trying to control but Riseman is working from the bottom.
Gracie lands a couple of decent looking shots.
Flako Gracie overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Gracie postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Gracie won't allow Riseman to get back to his feet.

Gracie tries to free his leg and advance position but Riseman is retaining full guard.

Gracie postures up in Riseman's guard and throws a big left but Riseman blocks it.
Gracie missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Riseman utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Gracie with a flurry of punches that miss.
Gracie throws a strike but Riseman rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Gracie manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Riseman is looking to improve his position but Gracie isn't that keen on the idea.

Gracie throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
Riseman regains half guard.
Gracie is just content to waste time from the top position. Riseman takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.
Riseman trying to keep a closed guard but Gracie is proving a slippery customer.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Gracie wants to pass the guard but Riseman is keeping the position.
Gracie with a flurry of punches that miss.
Gracie working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound.

Gracie stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Riseman swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Gracie has gone for a leg lock! Riseman slips out almost immediately though and dives into Gracie's guard.
Gracie wants to sweep here but Riseman controlling him for the moment.
Riseman trying to control but Gracie is working from the bottom.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Gracie looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Riseman has picked Gracie up and slammed him! Gracie can't keep hold of the triangle and Riseman manages to pass to side control!

Riseman has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
Riseman looks to land a combination but Gracie avoids it well.
Arne Riseman is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Gracie lands with a good body shot.
Riseman ducks under a wild hook from Gracie.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Gracie is defended easily by Riseman.
Riseman moves out of range of the strikes.
Gracie takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Riseman scores with a hook to the body. Gracie takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Riseman throws a series of punches but Gracie avoids them all with ease.
Gracie looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Riseman lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Gracie has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Gracie and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Riseman wants to land a leg kick but Gracie is out of range.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Riseman misses with a combination
and Gracie counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Some wild striking there from Riseman.
Riseman moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!

Riseman throws a sloppy head kick
letting Gracie counter with a right hand.
Riseman throws a chopping leg kick but Gracie manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
Riseman throws a right hand that Gracie ducks under and follows up with a left that Gracie also avoids with ease.
Riseman throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Riseman scores with the left hand. Gracie knows he should have avoided that one.
Gracie throws an overhand right that lands on Riseman's shoulder, as Riseman tries to avoid the shot.
Riseman throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Gracie.
Riseman throws a right and a left that Gracie avoids nicely.
A clash of legs there as Riseman blocks the low kick.
Riseman finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Gracie thows a leg kick but Riseman checks it
and Riseman counters with a three punch combo that has Gracie backing up. Gracie nods at Riseman to acknowledge the strikes.

Gracie wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.

Gracie tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Riseman was well out of range. Poor timing from Gracie.
Gracie throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Riseman lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Riseman just misses with a punch to the body.
Gracie comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.

Gracie changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Riseman looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Gracie misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.

Gracie tries to move into full mount but can't pass Riseman's legs.
Gracie throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.
Gracie scores with a couple of short elbows.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Riseman wants to get back to his feet.
Gracie misses with the ground and pound.
Riseman managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Gracie.
Arne Riseman has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Gracie is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Riseman looks calm but he's in trouble here. Gracie gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Riseman is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Gracie lets go of the hold and Riseman can pop his arm back in it's socket.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:21 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Flako Gracie!
