Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 26 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Neil Mann!
The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, Donatello Bradman and Winston Howard.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mann looks to throw the jab but Hinch is out of range.
Mann throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Hinch gets a takedown into half guard.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Mann tries to get to full guard but Hinch has control of the leg.

Hinch is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Hinch not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

Hinch wants to take a breather but Mann is having none of it.
Mann moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Mann had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Hinch defends it easily.

Hinch works to advance to full mount. Mann defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.
Hinch tries to control but Mann wriggling away.
Mann is looking to improve his position but Hinch isn't that keen on the idea.
Hinch looking to control and managing it successfully.
Hinch can't control as he wanted to and Mann manages to get the fight back to his half guard.

Hinch is working for a kimura but Mann is defending it quite comfortably.

Hinch wants to free his trapped foot but Mann is holding on for dear life with his legs.

Hinch is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Hinch has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Hinch looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
Mann wants to improve his position but Hinch is controlling well.
Mann throws a strike from the bottom that misses.

Hinch is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Mann defends it well.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Hinch lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.

Hinch got a little sloppy there for a moment and Mann has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Hinch has managed to get both his arms back between Mann's legs - danger averted.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Mann swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
A big right from Mann misses.
A lazy left from Mann finds it's target.
The fighters circling - Mann throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Mann works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Mann connects with a good right hand that stumbles Hinch. Hinch circles away out of range and recomposes himself.

Hinch shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Hinch showed some decent athleticism there.

Stevie Hinch overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
