Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Renato Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and James Peters (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Silva has a slight injury, which hopefully won't affect the fight too much. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Peters cracks a nice hook into Silva's ribs.
Peters throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Peters ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Silva tries to close the distance and clinch but Peters swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

No joy there for Silva, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Silva is breathing heavily.
Peters throws a nice looking combination but Silva bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Silva keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Peters's efforts to push away.

Silva breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Silva drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.

Silva tries to score a power double leg takedown but Peters sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Silva somewhat.

Peters lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Silva down.

Peters takes a little break here. Silva wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.

Let's hope that Peters has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Peters catches Silva with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!

Peters working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
