Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Ben Roofer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dylan Beretta (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Roofer comes to the cage accompanied by Jonesmann Feat. Azad - Der Soldat James Rhyme. Beretta has chosen Hed Pe Raise Hell as his entrance music. Ben Roofer could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Dylan Beretta's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ben Roofer!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Dylan Beretta!
The judges for this bout are Eddie Farnsworth, Jorge Garcia and Russell Pearce.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Roofer turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Roofer.
A slapping leg kick lands for Roofer.
Beretta shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Roofer as he jumps to the side.
Beretta has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Roofer.
Beretta throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Roofer's waist but Roofer gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Beretta off to one side.

and Roofer counters with a good low kick that Beretta was not able to check.
Ben Roofer has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dylan Beretta.
Roofer defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Beretta.
Roofer fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Roofer connects with a high kick.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Beretta gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Roofer counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.

Roofer throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Beretta's head.

Beretta bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Roofer tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Beretta wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Roofer parries the strikes from Beretta easily there. Beretta is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Roofer to escape.

That's one minute gone in the round.
The ground and pound from Beretta seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.
Roofer tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Beretta wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Beretta in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows.

Beretta is trying to get an arm triangle but Roofer is defending well.
Beretta sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Roofer is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Beretta throws an elbow but Roofer slips to the side and avoids it well.
Roofer knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Beretta on the ground.

Beretta creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Roofer sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Beretta scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Roofer to see if he's OK.

Roofer is trying to improve his position.
Beretta wants to control but Roofer is keeping him busy.

Beretta is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Roofer is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Beretta is chipping away with strikes.
Beretta scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Roofer to see if he's OK.
Beretta throwing strikes but Roofer manages to buck up and roll into a nice reversal - now he's on top in side control!
Beretta gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
Roofer blocks the strikes from Beretta.
Roofer looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Beretta with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Beretta has hold of a guillotine but he's not going to be able to crank on it really with only half guard, so it's no trouble for Roofer. Oh but Beretta has got full guard now! Oh boy! This one could be over very soon! Roofer goes limp - he's gone! Beretta jumps up and celebrates with the crowd - fantastic submission finish!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:52 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Dylan Beretta!
