Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Wesley Doran (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Freddy Thomas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Wesley Doran!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Freddy Thomas!
The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Yves DeLean and Dillan Fox.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Doran with a lazy takedown attempt
so Thomas counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Thomas trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Doran keeping moving, preventing Thomas from controlling successfully.
Doran is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Thomas wants to control from the top but Doran keeps moving.
Thomas pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Doran is keeping the position for now.
Thomas postures up in Doran's guard and throws a big left but Doran blocks it.
Thomas throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Doran works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Doran wants to stand but Thomas is controlling the position.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Thomas accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Doran wants to hit a switch here but Thomas passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Doran there!
Thomas can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Doran is looking to escape.
Doran is looking to improve his position but Thomas isn't that keen on the idea.
Doran wants to control but Thomas is having none of it.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Thomas goes for an armbar but Doran turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Doran.
Doran trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Doran decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Doran has managed to clinch.
Doran breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Thomas feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Doran uses the cage to get back to his feet.
Thomas fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Doran manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Thomas on his heels. He'll look to pass Thomas's guard now, I'm sure.
Thomas looks winded!
Thomas utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Doran wanted to stand there but Thomas had control of the position.
Doran passes into half guard.
Doran thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Thomas's head.

Doran is looking to take a break and control but Thomas is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Thomas is trying to control but Doran manages to pass to mount!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Doran jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Thomas manages to avoid the submission attempt.
Doran tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Thomas is trying to control Doran's posture but Doran avoids it.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Thomas might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Doran kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Wesley Doran will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Thomas shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Doran napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Doran misses with a strike from the bottom.
You can see the frustration on Doran's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Thomas swings around for an armbar but Doran sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Thomas's guard.
Thomas working for a triangle but Doran defends it easily.
Thomas has his foot on Doran's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Doran works his way back into a safe position though.

The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Doran postures up in Thomas's guard and throws a big left but Thomas blocks it.
Doran postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Doran wants to stand but Thomas is controlling his posture from full guard.
The ref stands the fighters back up because Wesley Doran just wasn't active enough.
Thomas looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Doran is fending him off so far but Thomas persists. Nope, Doran circles away and we're back to standing.
Doran misses with the combination.
Thomas dodges the punch combination from Doran.
Doran shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Thomas wants to hold on but Doran pushes him away.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Thomas is trying desperately to improve position.

Doran lands a big shot there that rocks Thomas but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

Doran tries to control but Thomas wriggling away.
Doran lands a nice shot to the head.
Doran with shots to the head and body - Thomas looks very uncomfortable down there.
Thomas is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
BOOM! Doran connects with a massive shot to the dome!

Doran wants to control the pace but Thomas is squirming around nicely.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Doran postures up and throws a couple of big shots that have Thomas in real trouble here! The ref calls for Thomas to improve his position which he doesn't do, so the referee has no choice but to end the fight due to the strikes!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:59 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Wesley Doran!
Wesley Doran really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that Green Beret Clothing logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.
