Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Byron Mondella (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jamel Sharif (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jamel Sharif will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sharif connects with a crisp jab.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Mondella.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Mondella in side control, just content to control the action for now.

Sharif explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there!
Mondella takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.

Mondella shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Sharif manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Mondella slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Byron Mondella.
Mondella throws a big shot that misses.
Mondella shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Sharif pinned against the cage. Sharif gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Mondella takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Byron Mondella seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Mondella shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Sharif but Sharif pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Sharif is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range.
Mondella tries to move into range but Sharif moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Sharif scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Sharif feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Mondellas jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!

Mondella is rocked!
Mondella shoots in and drives through. Sharif sprawls well.
Oh Mondella is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Sharif has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.
Mondella gets caught by a big overhand right and goes down! Sharif gets on top of him and starts throwing some serious punches until the ref intervenes and stops the fight!
