Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Brynden Rivers!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Vitaly Proskhurin!
The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Yves DeLean and Steve Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Proskhurin tries to keep at a distance but Rivers has taken the fight into the clinch.
Rivers lands with a left to the head.
Proskhurin can't find room to land a body shot as Rivers controls the action.
Proskhurin has Rivers pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Rivers manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Rivers lands an elbow that stopped Proskhurin in his tracks for a moment.


It looks like Vitaly Proskhurin has been cut.

That has opened up Vitaly Proskhurin's cut even more.

Proskhurin jumps guard and drags Rivers to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Proskhurin is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Rivers wants to get up but he can't break Proskhurin's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Rivers wanted to stand there but Proskhurin had control of the position.
