Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, JD Repooc!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
4 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Twig Jones!
The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Dillan Fox and William Peck.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Repooc closes the distance and pushes Jones back into the cage.
Repooc has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Jones is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Repooc wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Jones has him pressed against the cage.
Jones drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Repooc gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Repooc has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Jones clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Repooc looking for the rear naked choke. And he's got it! Jones taps!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:34 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). JD Repooc!
