The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Quinn shoots in and gets a takedown into Pomponio's guard.

Pomponio has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Quinn can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Pomponio is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Quinn is aware though and is defending well.
Quinn has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Quinn stands up over Pomponio, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

He's just covering up now, not defending himself intelligently - Quinn looks towards the ref and unloads with 3 more big shots and the ref has no choice but to stop the fight! Pomponio can't hide his disappointment, as Quinn celebrates the victory.
