Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Carl Mason (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Buddi Zoom (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Zoom has chosen Thunder Struck - ACDC as his entrance music. Buddi Zoom is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Buddi Zoom!
The judges for this bout are Damien Edna, Winston Howard and Skip Squint.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zoom fails to land the takedown.
Mason wants to clinch up but Zoom keeps it at a distance.
The fight stays on the outside here - Mason looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Mason shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Zoom sprawls well. Zoom wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Mason gets slowly back to his feet.
Zoom misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

Mason gets caught napping as Zoom dives in and scores a takedown. Mason manages to retain guard.
Mason not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Mason wants to sweep but no luck.

Mason looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Zoom postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Mason utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Zoom has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Zoom lands a couple of decent looking shots.
Mason avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.

Zoom pushes down on Mason's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Zoom thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.

Zoom working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Mason looks like he's trying to stand up.

Zoom is working for a submission of some sort.

Zoom is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Mason is just riding it out for now. Zoom eventually gives up the hold.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Zoom is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Mason defends it well.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Zoom connects with a nice short shot to Mason's temple.
Mason is looking to escape.

Zoom is working for a kimura but Mason is defending it quite comfortably.
Mason is trying to stand back up but Zoom is controlling him
Zoom looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
Nice strikes from Zoom there.
Zoom stops Mason from getting back to his feet.

Mason is defending against the submission attempts here by Zoom.
Zoom winds up and cracks Mason with a swinging punch to the side of the head.

Zoom is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Mason is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Zoom scores with a couple of nice shots.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Zoom throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.

Zoom maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Mason could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Zoom has cracked it and Mason is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Zoom!

After the fight, Buddi Zoom was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
