Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ray Olhoffer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jon Boans (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Boans's choice of entrance music: Round and Round by Ratt. Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
18 - 16 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Ray Olhoffer!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
12 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jon Boans!
The judges for this bout are Thiago Cunha, Felipe Paraventi and Daniel Cesar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Boans throws a poor cross that misses
and Olhoffer makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Olhoffer feints a jab promting Boans to slip. Olhoffer then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Boans slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
It looks like Jon Boans has been cut.
Olhoffer keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Boans throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Boans throws the left hand but Olhoffer avoids the punch easily.
Boans tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Olhoffer counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
Boans looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Olhoffer is fending him off so far but Boans persists. Nope, Olhoffer circles away and we're back to standing.

Olhoffer scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Boans misses with a body punch
and Olhoffer counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Jon Boans seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Boans's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Olhoffer connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Boans scrambles back to his feet.
Boans wants to clinch but Olhoffer slips to the side
and Olhoffer counters with a crisp one two that drops Boans! Olhoffer thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Boans to his feet! Boans is in big trouble!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Boans shoots in but Olhoffer avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Boans looks winded!
Boans throws a hook to the side of Olhoffer's head but Olhoffer sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
A jab lands there for Olhoffer.
That has opened up Jon Boans's cut even more.
Boans changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Olhoffer tries to avoid it but Boans manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Olhoffer to the ground. Olhoffer escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Ray Olhoffer has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jon Boans.
Boans misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Olhoffer counters with a right hand to the body.
Boans looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Olhoffer is fending him off so far but Boans persists. Nope, Olhoffer circles away and we're back to standing.
Boans tries to clinch there but Olhoffer circles away.
Boans has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Boans tries to bum rush Olhoffer with a series of wild strikes but Olhoffer uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Ray Olhoffer is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Boans throws a body punch but Olhoffer moves out of range.
Boans throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Boans lands a front kick.
Boans moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Olhoffer is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.
No joy there for Boans, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Olhoffer lands with a good body shot.
Olhoffer looks to land a combination but Boans avoids it well.
Boans misses with a lunging right hand
and Olhoffer counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Olhoffer throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Olhoffer lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Boans is trying desperately to land a takedown but Olhoffer is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Boans.
Olhoffer moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Olhoffer looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Olhoffer dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Olhoffer listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.
The cut above Jon Boans's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Boans gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Olhoffer stuns Boans with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Olhoffer is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Olhoffer scores with a sloppy right hand. Boans should have avoided that one.
Olhoffer lands a right hook to the body.
Olhoffer really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Boans walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Olhoffer lands a big right hand that sends Boans crashing to the mat! Olhoffer stays standing though and waves Boans back to his feet!
Boans is rocked!
Jon Boans's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
Sloppy strikes from Olhoffer. Those never looked like landing.
Olhoffer lands with a jab that stuns his opponent. Boans is looking to close the distance but Olhoffer sees it coming and throws a beautiful knee! Boans crumbles to the mat and that's all she wrote! Let's hope Boans is OK because that was naaaaaasty!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:14 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Knee). Ray Olhoffer!
Our winner, Ray Olhoffer, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
