Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Myles Makdessi!
The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, William Peck and Ian Loll.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
James with a poor takedown

and Makdessi counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in James's guard now.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

James is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Makdessi is aware though and is defending well.

James has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Makdessi can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

James has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Makdessi is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for James.
James tries to get back to half guard but can't.

James really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

James bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!

James is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Makdessi is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Makdessi has escaped and now he's on top!

Makdessi is sitting in close to James's body. James has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Makdessi is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Makdessi is tapping! That was a very nice submission by James.
