Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Mac Hansen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Edward Pattinson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pattinson has chosen Blue (Da Ba Dee) - Eiffel 65 as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pattinson throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Hansen sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Pattinson misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Pattinson lands a high kick!
A low kick from Pattinson misses
and Hansen makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.

Hansen shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Hansen looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Pattinson with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Hansen throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Pattinson was covering up waiting for the punch and Hansen finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Hansen might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Pattinson is trying to control the position but Hansen postures up.

Hansen got a little sloppy there for a moment and Pattinson has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Hansen has managed to get both his arms back between Pattinson's legs - danger averted.

Pattinson has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Hansen can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Hansen drops back looking for a leg! Pattinson is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Pattinson manages to kick Hansen off! Hansen jumps back into Pattinson's guard.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Pattinson tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Pattinson lands with a kick to the ribs.
Hansen looks to score with a jab to the body but Pattinson is just out of range.

Hansen will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Pattinson smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Pattinson fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Hansen has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Pattinson throws a solid leg kick but Hansen takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Pattinson.

Edward Pattinson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Hansen fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Pattinson manages to avoid it.
Pattinson tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Hansen paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Pattinson throws a nice outside leg kick.
Pattinson does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Hansen misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Hansen dodges the punch combination from Pattinson.
Pattinson tries to clinch but Hansen is having none of it.
Hansen takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Hansen avoids a low kick by using good footwork.
A good leg kick by Pattinson.

Hansen manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Pattinson on his heels. He'll look to pass Pattinson's guard now, I'm sure.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Mac Hansen.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Hansen, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
