The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sloppy strikes from Ekim. Those never looked like landing.
Ekim throws a good cross that connects.
Ekim lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Khan circles away quickly and effectively.
Ekim throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Nice jab there from Ekim.

It looks like Thiago Khan has been cut.
Ekim misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Khan throws a half hearted mid kick.
Khan blocks the body kick.
Ekim throws a series of punches but Khan avoids them all with ease.
Khan throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
A punch combination from Khan misses.
Khan comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
A telegraphed right hand from Ekim misses the target.
Khan shoots in for a double leg but Ekim sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

This has been an exciting period of action!
Khan changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Ekim tries to avoid it but Khan manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Ekim to the ground. Ekim escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Ekim lands with an overhand left.
Ekim misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Khan looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Khan shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Ekim but Ekim pushes him off and we're back to square one.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Thiago Khan. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Thiago Khan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Ekim lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.

Khan is rocked!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Ekim throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Khan.
Oh Khan is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
A big right followed by a crushing left from Ekim knocks Khan out cold! Ouch - that one's going to be featured in highlight reels for years to come!

A very excited looking Mike Ekim rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
