The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Higgins moves away from the strike by McLaren.
McLaren fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Higgins manages to avoid it.
Higgins misses with a hook. McLaren ducked under it nicely.
McLaren throws a right hand that Higgins ducks under and follows up with a left that Higgins also avoids with ease.
McLaren is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

McLaren gets the takedown into side control.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

McLaren creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.

McLaren cracks Higgins with an elbow. That is naaassty.
Higgins knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for McLaren on the ground.

McLaren scores with a big shot from side control... and another... and another! Oh Higgins is done here - save him referee! More strikes land and eventually the ref does step in and McLaren can finally stop beating on his defenseless opponent!
