Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jin Kim (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Risto Korpisuo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Korpisuo has chosen Eläkeläiset - Humpparaakki as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 15 - 18 - 1, fighting out of Helsinki, Jin Kim!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Risto Korpisuo!
The judges for this bout are Ben Zyskovitsi, Johanna Lukiainen and Marco Blurström.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Korpisuo will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.

Kim drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Kim jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Kim has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Kim wants to control but Korpisuo is having none of it.

Kim tries to lock up and control but Korpisuo gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Kim holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Korpisuo tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.

Korpisuo pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Korpisuo goes for an armbar but Kim turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Kim.

Korpisuo stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Kim swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Korpisuo is looking to advance position but Kim has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Kim avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Korpisuo tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Korpisuo lands with a nice body punch.
Korpisuo scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Kim doesn't seem bothered though.
Kim tries to move into range but Korpisuo moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Korpisuo fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Kim.
Korpisuo tries to clinch up but Kim circles away and keeps his distance.
Korpisuo throws a head kick but Kim moves out of range.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Kim thows a huge punch but Korpisuo dodges it nicely.
Korpisuo is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Kim is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

Kim tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jin Kim. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Both fighters working to control the clinch.

Kim jumps guard.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Kim seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.

Korpisuo stands over his opponent and dives in with a flying punch! Kim throws up his legs and catches Korpisuo in a triangle! Oh this looks tight! Korpisuo tries to escape but he's forced to tap! Wow, fantastic work there by Kim! That came out of nowhere!
