PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Bk bk (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tiny Tim (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tiny Tim told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Bk bk!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Viktor Lagutenko, Valeri Chadov and Fedor Mirinova.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
bk tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Tim swivels and escapes.
Tim throws a nice head kick!

It looks like Bk bk has been cut.
Tim delivers a nice body kick.
Tim misses with a double jab.
Tim throws a sloppy head kick and bk moves out of range easily.
bk shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Tim as he jumps to the side.
bk shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Tim pinned against the cage. Tim gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Bk bk. That's going to take a lot out of him.
bk misses with a hook
and Tim counters with a flying knee. Nice.
This has been an exciting period of action!
That kick from Tim tenderised bk's leg. bk is trying to keep his angry face on.
bk shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Tim but Tim pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Decent striking displayed by Tim there.
Tim throws a combination. bk tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Tim keeps bk at a distance using the push kick.

Tim scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
bk takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
bk is trying hard to land a takedown here. Tim sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
bk throws a leg kick
and Tim counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Tiny Tim is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
bk takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
bk tries to score a power double leg takedown but Tim sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten bk somewhat.
bk takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.
Some wild striking there from Tim.
Tim keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Tim gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows bk to score an easy takedown into full guard.
bk postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

bk decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
bk fails with a takedown attempt.

Tim looks gassed!
Tim tries a head kick but it misses.

bk closes the distance and clinches.

bk successfully pulls guard.
bk wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

bk is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Tim has his hands clasped together but bk extends an breaks Tim's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by bk.
