The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lum fails with an attempt to clinch.

DeSilva shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Lum is in trouble now - DeSilva has advanced to mount!

DeSilva jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Lum is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Lum and DeSilva has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
Lum tries to control but end up mounted... ooooh, that's bad.

Lum wants to hold on but DeSilva pushes him away.

DeSilva won't let Lum get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now.
Lum really doesn't want to stay on the ground with DeSilva. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

DeSilva working for a guillotine from mount but Lum is in no mood to give up.

DeSilva has hold of Lum's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Lum manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

DeSilva looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.

DeSilva is working for a guillotine from mount but Lum frees his head quite easily.
We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Lum has eaten all the pies!
Lum regains half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Lum is trying to defend against the choke here but DeSilva has an arm under his chin. This one might not last much longer. DeSilva Tightens the hold and Lum taps out furiously! DeSilva displays superior BJJ to win the fight.
