The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zarencev fails to land the takedown.
Avalon ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Avalon lands with a nice body punch.
Zarencev tries for a takedown but Avalon circles away easily
and Avalon counters with a two punch combo.
Avalon tests Zarencev's chin there with a solid looking shot.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Zarencev shoots for a takedown but Avalon saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
James Avalon has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Artem Zarencev.
Avalon lands with a good body shot.
Zarencev has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Zarencev is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Avalon lands with a right that hurts Zarencev. Zarencev looks to clinch but Avalon throws a short knee that drops Zarencev. This one is all over!
