Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Kaoru Hanayama (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Doc Thomas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Thomas has chosen Lunatic Fringe by Red Ryder as his entrance music. Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 15 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Kaoru Hanayama!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 21 - 11 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Doc Thomas!
The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Patrick Alders and Aafke Stam.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hanayama uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Thomas.

Hanayama shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Hanayama tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Thomas is bucking up trying to escape but Hanayama cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
Thomas wants to hold on but Hanayama pushes him away.
Hanayama trying to control but Thomas is having none of it.
Thomas keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Thomas is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Hanayama lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Hanayama has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Thomas's face.
Thomas is in all sorts of trouble here.
BOOM! Hanayama connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Hanayama breaks from Thomas's wrist control and lands an elbow.

It looks like Doc Thomas has been cut.
Hanayama scores with a couple of good head shots there.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Thomas is desperately trying to improve his position but Hanayama has a good base and remains in mount.
Thomas is squirming around, avoiding Hanayama's attempts to control the action.
Thomas wants to hold on but Hanayama pushes him away.
Hanayama with the ground and pound from mount.
Hanayama working away from the top, dropping strikes.

The cut above Doc Thomas's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Hanayama breaks from Thomas's wrist control and lands an elbow.

Doc Thomas's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Doc Thomas's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:18 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Kaoru Hanayama!
A relieved looking Kaoru Hanayama thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
