Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Samuel Walker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bong Ki Duk (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ki Duk comes into a darkened arena with his song building. north korea's national anthem kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Samuel Walker!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Bong Ki Duk!
The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, Richard Clark and Chris Edwards.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Walker has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Ki Duk.

Ki Duk moves into the clinch.
Walker can't get the takedown.
Walker has Ki Duk pressed against the cage, preventing Ki Duk from circling away and getting back to striking at range.

Ki Duk escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Walker shoots in for a takedown but Ki Duk shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Ki Duk throws a leg kick that misses.

Walker closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Ki Duk quickly recovers to half guard.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Walker looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Samuel Walker just wasn't active enough.

Walker darts in and clinches Ki Duk up against the cage.

Ki Duk escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Ki Duk clinches up with Walker and pushes him back against the cage.
Ki Duk throws an elbow that misses.
Walker looking for a takedown.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Samuel Walker. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Ki Duk's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Walker tries to keep at a distance but Ki Duk has taken the fight into the clinch.
Ki Duk keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Walker's efforts to push away.

Ki Duk breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Walker avoids a kick to the body.
Walker could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Ki Duk clinches.
Walker goes for a takedown in the clinch but Ki Duk prevents it.
Ki Duk is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Walker is defending well for now.
Walker wants a takedown but no success here.
Ki Duk can't find room to land a body shot as Walker controls the action.

Walker has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Ki Duk regains guard immediately.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Ki Duk pulls Walker in close to prevent any damage.
Walker might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Ki Duk wants to stand and escape but Walker is having none of it.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Bong Ki Duk was stalling too much, according to the referee.
Ki Duk rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Walker moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Ki Duk gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Walker.

Ki Duk's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Ki Duk has Walker up against the cage in a clinch.

Walker has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Ki Duk clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!

A bit of a pause in the action here. Walker controlling the positon.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Samuel Walker will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Ki Duk throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Walker moves forwards but Ki Duk connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Ki Duk buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.

Ki Duk has Walker up against the cage in a clinch.
Walker managing to block the knees to the body from Ki Duk.
Ki Duk misses with the head strike.
Ki Duk wants to get back to striking at distance but Walker won't allow it.
A battle for position here, against the cage.
Ki Duk has had enough of the clinch but Walker keeps him there for the moment.
Ki Duk is looking to break free of the clinch but Walker has double underhooks.
Ki Duk tries to throw a body punch but Walker avoids it by throwing Ki Duk back against the cage.
Walker drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.

An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Ki Duk.
Ki Duk lands a shoulder strike.
Walker is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Ki Duk is defending well.
Ki Duk can't break the clinch.
Walker is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.

No joy there for Ki Duk, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Bong Ki Duk is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Ki Duk will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Ki Duk tries to break free but Walker pushes him back against the cage.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Ki Duk throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Walker blocks it with crossed arms.

Ki Duk throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.

Walker has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Ki Duk uses from the top position.
Ki Duk wants to stand and escape but instead Walker has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

Samuel Walker has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.

Ki Duk forces Walker back against the cage and clinches.

Walker gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Walker passes Ki Duk's left leg - he's now in half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Walker takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Walker is trying to control the action in half guard but Ki Duk is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Ki Duk wants to get back to his feet.

Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Ki Duk throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Walker.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Ki Duk struggles to land a body shot inside as Walker controls his hands.
Ki Duk swings wildly with an uppercut but Walker uses good head movement to avoid it.
Ki Duk wants to get back to striking at distance but Walker won't allow it.

And that's the end of the fight!
Bong Ki Duk comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Ki Duk has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
