Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between True Vengeance (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Billy Riley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Billy Riley enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, True Vengeance!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 15 - 0, fighting out of London, Billy Riley!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Chris Edwards and James Atkins.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vengeance lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Riley circles away quickly and effectively.
Vengeance misses with a double jab

and Riley counters with a nice double leg into half guard.

Riley is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Vengeance sees it coming and defends easily.
Vengeance looks like he's trying to stand up.
Riley thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Riley is keen to just control but Vengeance is a slippery customer.

Riley is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Riley thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Vengeance's head.

Riley stalling.

Riley is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Vengeance is just riding it out for now. Riley eventually gives up the hold.

Vengeance makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work!

A punch combination from Vengeance misses.
Horrible takedown by Riley or perhaps it was just good defense by Vengeance which made him look bad.
Vengeance throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

Riley looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Riley stops Vengeance from getting back to his feet.
Riley looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Vengeance with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Riley tries to pass to full mount but Vengeance defends it.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Riley is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

Vengeance wants to get back to his feet.
Riley wants to stand up but Vengeance has a hold of him and won't allow it.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Riley misses with a head shot. Vengeance uses the momentum to regain guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Riley has gone for a leg lock! Vengeance slips out almost immediately though and dives into Riley's guard.

Riley had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Vengeance defends it easily.
Riley utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Vengeance is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.

Vengeance throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Riley works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Riley is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Vengeance defends it well.

Riley is looking for submissions but instead, Vengeance has regained full guard.
Riley wants to pass the guard but Vengeance is keeping the position.

Vengeance wants to stand and escape but Riley is having none of it.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Billy Riley wasn't active enough on the ground.
Vengeance throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Riley tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Vengeance swivels and escapes.

and Riley counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Vengeance throws a strike but Riley rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Riley drops back, looking for a kneebar! Vengeance looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Vengeance looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Vengeance!

This has been an exciting period of action!
Vengeance working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter.
Vengeance lands an elbow.
Riley is looking to regain half guard here but Vengeance keeps moving and retains side control.
Vengeance throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.
Vengeance creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Riley sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
Vengeance lands a few punches from side control.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Riley regains half guard, as Vengeance was trying to land strikes.
Vengeance thows a huge punch but Riley dodges it nicely.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Billy Riley showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. And we move into the final round!


Vengeance falls off balance throwing a combination

and Riley counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Riley wants a takedown but no success here.
Riley is pushing Vengeance up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.
Vengeance wants to get back to striking at distance but Riley won't allow it.
Both fighters working to control the clinch.

and Riley counters with a nice double leg into side control. Vengeance won't be happy with that.

A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Riley.
True Vengeance has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Billy Riley.
Vengeance throws a left and a right that both miss
and Riley counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Riley closes the distance and clinches up with Vengeance, looking for a takedown. Riley pushes Vengeance against the cage but Vengeance circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Riley takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Vengeance gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Riley to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Riley drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Vengeance manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Riley has Vengeance in his guard.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Vengeance accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Riley is trying to keep Vengeance in close.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to True Vengeance.
I think Riley has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
