Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Riley McCollins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jukkis Karvakorva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). McCollins comes to the cage accompanied by The Go Getter. The crowd seem to be enjoying Karvakorva's choice of entrance music: DIABLO - Icaros . The judges for this bout are Josh West, Chris Saunders and Ryoma Takatsuka.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McCollins tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Karvakorva manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
McCollins keeps the fight on the outside.
McCollins connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Karvakorva's hands.
It looks like Jukkis Karvakorva has been cut.
Karvakorva tries a head kick but it misses.
Karvakorva has a takedown stuffed.
McCollins ducks under a wild hook from Karvakorva.
Karvakorva misses with a looping right.
Karvakorva shoots in for a takedown but McCollins shows good takedown defense.
Karvakorva fails to land the takedown.
Riley McCollins has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jukkis Karvakorva.
Karvakorva wants to clinch
and McCollins counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
McCollins throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Karvakorva counters with a good, hard body kick but McCollins shrugs it off.
Karvakorva ducks down and throws a hook to the body but McCollins moves away.
Karvakorva moves into range and clinches up with McCollins.
McCollins lands a nice shot to the body.
McCollins lands a nice uppercut.
Karvakorva is rocked!
McCollins unloads with a big right hand that wobbles Karvakorva! He's leaning against the cage trying to keep his feet but McCollins is unloading with more strikes now! Karvakorva drops to his knees and the referee stops the fight for a TKO!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Riley McCollins!
