Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Shane Wellman Junior (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Briar McGuire (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Wellman Junior comes into the arena with speakers on blast- the game blaring out of the sound system. McGuire has chosen Boondock Saints Theme as his entrance music. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Wellman Junior enables McGuire to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Wellman Junior manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Wellman Junior controls McGuire momentarily but McGuire frees himself.
McGuire distracts Wellman Junior with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

McGuire got a little sloppy there for a moment and Wellman Junior has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, McGuire has managed to get both his arms back between Wellman Junior's legs - danger averted.
