Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the light heavyweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Lee Perry!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 18 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Ryo Narushima!
The judges for this bout are Saam Ante, Paul Aken and Nard Betker.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Narushima throws a wild body kick that Perry sees coming a mile off.
Ryo Narushima seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Perry scores a takedown into full mount!
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Perry is landing with some decent strikes but Narushima is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
Narushima tries to hold on but Perry postures up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Narushima holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Perry tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
Narushima keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Perry thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!
Perry has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Narushima is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Narushima really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Perry. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Narushima is looking for a sweep. Perry is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Perry is looking to take a break and control but Narushima is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Perry drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.

Narushima throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Narushima slips under a jab.
Perry lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Perry shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Narushima napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Perry shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Perry showed some decent athleticism there.
Perry thows a huge punch but Narushima dodges it nicely.
Narushima has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Perry is working away from the top position though.

That was a close fourth round but I would say that Lee Perry will probably get the nod.

Narushima throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Perry punishes Narushima's body with a nice straight punch.

Narushima throws a low kick, looking for Perry's leg but Perry calmly moves out of range.
