Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Shane Waitzel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Doe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Waitzel might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Dimmu Borgir - Puritania. Doe has chosen A Taste Of Regret as his entrance music. Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Shane Waitzel!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 20 - 17 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, John Doe!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Tiny Johnson and Chris Downing.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jab from Waitzel.
Doe pushes Waitzel away with a front kick.
Doe throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Doe fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Waitzel is out of range.
A slapping leg kick lands for Doe.
Waitzel throws the left hand but Doe avoids the punch easily.
Waitzel throws out a leg kick but Doe moves out of range and Waitzel only half commits.
Doe throws out a leg kick but Waitzel moves out of range and Doe only half commits.

Waitzel has managed to clinch.
Waitzel lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Doe is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.
Waitzel has Doe pressed against the cage.
Doe tries a knee to the head but Waitzel blocks it.
Doe tries a body shot but Waitzel blocks it.
A head punch on the inside from Doe fails to land.

Waitzel managing to block the knees to the body from Doe.
Doe using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Waitzel has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Waitzel lands a hook that snaps the head of Doe backwards.


It looks like John Doe has been cut.
Doe doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Doe is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Waitzel is defending well for now.
Waitzel blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
Doe has had enough of the clinch but Waitzel keeps him there for the moment.

Waitzel swings wildly with an uppercut but Doe uses good head movement to avoid it.
Doe tries to land knees in the clinch but Waitzel avoids the damage to the body.
Waitzel tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.

Waitzel keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Doe's efforts to push away.
Doe throws an elbow but it misses.

Doe creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Waitzel's defenses.

Doe throws a low kick but it's checked well by Waitzel.
Doe takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Waitzel wants to clinch up but Doe keeps it at a distance.
Doe misses with a few strikes there.
Doe pivots, looking for a leg kick but Waitzel is out of range and Doe settles back down.
Waitzel lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Doe circles away quickly and effectively.
Doe throws a right hand that Waitzel ducks under and follows up with a left that Waitzel also avoids with ease.
Waitzel swinging wildly here.
Doe is looking to chop away at Waitzel's legs.
Doe comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Waitzel moves out of range of the body kick from Doe.
Doe misses with a straight right.
Doe thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Waitzel if he has to take too many more of those.
Doe scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Waitzel doesn't seem bothered though.
Doe throws a lazy right hand but Waitzel sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Doe throws a low kick but Waitzel avoids it.
A nice leg kick lands there from Doe.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Sloppy strikes from Waitzel. Those never looked like landing.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Doe tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Waitzel's elbow.
Doe is trying to push Waitzel away but Waitzel has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Doe has had enough of the clinch but Waitzel keeps him there for the moment.
Doe can't break the clinch.
Doe is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace.

Doe escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Waitzel avoids a low kick by using good footwork.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Doe throws a body kick that digs right into the meat.
Waitzel misses with a hook.
Waitzel takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Waitzel avoids the head kick by Doe.
Waitzel cracks a nice hook into Doe's ribs.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

John Doe dominated that round.
The cut man is working on John Doe's cut.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!



Doe rushes Waitzel and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Doe lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Waitzel backwards.
Waitzel blocks a body shot from Doe.
Waitzel dodges an elbow strike from Doe.
Doe using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Waitzel has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Doe tries to circle away but Waitzel has him pinned against the cage.
Waitzel lands a right hand that snaps the head of Doe backwards.
Doe tries to stall but Waitzel uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Doe landing knees to the body.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Waitzel takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.

Doe tries to circle away but Waitzel has him pinned against the cage.
John Doe seems to be working more effectively in the clinch in the fight so far.

Waitzel prevents Doe from breaking the clinch.
Doe wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Waitzel has him pressed against the cage.

Waitzel has Doe pressed against the cage, preventing Doe from circling away and getting back to striking at range.

Waitzel blocks a punch to the side of the head.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Waitzel creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Waitzel slows down the pace here.
Doe throws an elbow but it's blocked.
Waitzel lands an uppercut in the clinch that drops Doe to his knees! Waitzel keeps firing more shots against his stricken opponent and the referee jumps in to save him!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:38 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Shane Waitzel!
Shane Waitzel really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that Steel Terror-Trition: Video Proven 160Q logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.
