Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Tyson Pearson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joonas Mustonen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pearson moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Mustonen keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Mustonen escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Pearson gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Pearson stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Mustonen swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Pearson is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

We're going to have a standup here because Tyson Pearson wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Pearson has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Pearson there as he acknowledges the shot.
Nice uppercut lands for Mustonen. That snapped Pearson's head back.

Mustonen really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Pearson. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Pearson has hold of Mustonen's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Mustonen tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Pearson cranks the arm and Mustonen screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Mustonen, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
