PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between That Guy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Blood Wizard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Guy might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Nyan song. Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, That Guy!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 16 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Blood Wizard!
The judges for this bout are Ben Zyskovitsi, Anni Minnemäki and Roosa Järviläinen.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Guy misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Blood Wizard seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Wizard loads up on a big right hand but Guy slips the punch.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Guy.
Wizard lands an overhand right.
Guy looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Wizard is fending him off so far but Guy persists. Nope, Wizard circles away and we're back to standing.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for That Guy. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Guy shoots in and drives through. Wizard sprawls well.

Wizard takes the fight into the clinch.

Wizard pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Good standup being displayed there by Wizard as he connects with a hook.
Guy doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Wizard counters with a stiff right hand.

Guy shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Guy wants to take his opponent's back but he's not managed it.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Wizard is wriggling around trying to escape.

Guy working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet.
Wizard is looking to get to half guard.

Wizard sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
The fighters are battling for position here. Wizard manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
Guy trying to stand up but can't free himself from Wizard's guard.
Guy wants to pass the guard but Wizard is keeping the position.
Guy loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Wizard is looking to sinch up a triangle. Guy throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Wizard's body to avoid the submission. Wizard has instead reached around Guy's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Wizard arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.

After winning the bout, Blood Wizard thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
