Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Erwin Tulfo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Silla Kim (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kim has chosen CANON in D Korean Version (with gayageum) as his entrance music. Erwin Tulfo has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 21 - 10 - 0, fighting out of London, Erwin Tulfo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 16 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Silla Kim!
The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, James Ackerman and Steven Brown.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tulfo blocks a head kick by Kim.

Tulfo scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Kim is trying to buck Tulfo off.

Tulfo tries to advance to mount but can't.

Tulfo goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Kim rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Tulfo's guard! Nice work there by Kim!

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Crunch! Kim slams his shin into Tulfo's torso.
Silla Kim is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Tulfo is breathing heavily.

Kim gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Tulfo to score an easy takedown into full guard.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Kim utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Tulfo changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Kim looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Tulfo working the strikes but Kim uses the opportunity to regain half guard.

Tulfo is looking for a kimura. It's pretty deep but Kim still has the half guard so he's probably OK. Oh, Kim has exploded into a beautiful escape there and after a quick scramble, he's ended up in side control on top! Nice work!
Tulfo tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Kim wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Tulfo throws an elbow that misses. Kim uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Tulfo's guard. Nice move by Kim!

Kim got a little sloppy there for a moment and Tulfo has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Kim has managed to get both his arms back between Tulfo's legs - danger averted.

Kim avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Kim stands up and waves to Tulfo to follow him.

Kim is looking to slow Tulfo down with leg kicks.

Tulfo shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Kim's guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Kim wants to stand but Tulfo is controlling the position.

Tulfo postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Kim is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Tulfo, into his guard.

Tulfo throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Kim escapes and throws Tulfo's legs to the side, diving into side control!

Tulfo is trying to improve his position.

Kim stands up.
Kim throws a head kick that Tulfo semi-blocks.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Tulfo shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Tulfo was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Kim is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.

Tulfo is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Kim doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Tulfo.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Kim kicks off Tulfo and gets to his feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!



Tulfo fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Kim to the ground. Tulfo is now in Kim's guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Kim decides to stand back up. Kim steps back and let's Tulfo get back to his feet.

Tulfo shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Kim napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Kim throws Tulfo to one side and escapes!

Tulfo decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Kim manages to escape and get back to his feet!

Kim throws a head kick that half lands.
Kim misses with a body kick.

Kim gets caught napping as Tulfo dives in and scores a takedown. Kim manages to retain guard.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Tulfo accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Tulfo is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Kim is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Kim has escaped and now he's on top!

Kim decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Tulfo, up you get!

Good leg kick by Kim there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Tulfo is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Kim's half guard.
Kim wants to get back to his feet.

Tulfo is looking for a kimura here.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Tulfo throws a strike but Kim avoids it easily and moves to full guard.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Erwin Tulfo.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Tulfo, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
