Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Langdon Dolwilt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Edmundo Edilhson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Langdon Dolwilt!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Edmundo Edilhson!
The judges for this bout are Russell Pearce, John Roberts and Chad Campbell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Dolwilt drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

Edilhson sneaks back into half guard.
Dolwilt wants to control but Edilhson is keeping him busy.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Edilhson is looking to improve his position.

Edilhson is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Dolwilt pulls his head out easily.
Dolwilt takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

Edilhson is not content to let Dolwilt control the position.
Dolwilt wants to pass to mount but Edilhson is defending the position.
Dolwilt wants to get back to his feet.
Edilhson trying to hold on to Dolwilt's head to control him but Dolwilt postures up.
Edilhson is refusing to be controlled, as Dolwilt sits in half guard.

We're going to have a standup here because Langdon Dolwilt wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.

Dolwilt rushes Edilhson and presses him up against the cage.

Dolwilt gets control of Edilhson's arms and successfully pulls guard. Dolwilt will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

Edilhson throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Dolwilt works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Dolwilt is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Dolwilt is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Edilhson is looking to improve his position.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

Edilhson wants to take the fight to the mat but Dolwilt manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.

Edilhson has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Dolwilt clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Edilhson has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Dolwilt has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!

Edilhson is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Dolwilt knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Dolwilt for a finish.

Dolwilt is trying to stand up here but Edilhson is controlling him well.

Edilhson is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Dolwilt is just riding it out for now. Edilhson eventually gives up the hold.

Edilhson wants to take a breather but Dolwilt manages to regain guard - a lesson learnt for Edilhson.

Dolwilt has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Edilhson off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.

Edmundo Edilhson showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!

Edilhson throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.

Dolwilt throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Edilhson misses with a hook
and Dolwilt counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Dolwilt chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Dolwilt tries a head kick but it misses.
Edilhson lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Dolwilt circles away quickly and effectively.
Edilhson lands a jab to the head.
Edilhson sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.

and Dolwilt counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Edilhson is looking to sweep but instead, Dolwilt has passed into half guard.
Dolwilt seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Dolwilt wants to stand but Edilhson has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Dolwilt wants to take a breather but Edilhson is having none of it.
Edilhson is trying to maintain the position but Dolwilt is very close to passing his half guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Edilhson tries to get to full guard but Dolwilt has control of the leg.
Edilhson moves into full guard.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Langdon Dolwilt.
I think Dolwilt has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
