Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between George W Bash (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Delroy Holmes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Lou da Vinci, Russell Pearce and Reed Andrews.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A nice leg kick lands there from Holmes.
Holmes throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Holmes moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Holmes keeps the fight on the outside.

Bash closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Holmes did well to prevent Bash getting side control.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Bash is trying to work for a kimura but Holmes is defending well.
Holmes avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Bash.
Bash perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Holmes moves into full guard.

Bash stays in close to Holmes's body and controls the position.
Bash has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

George W Bash has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
Bash tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Holmes will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Holmes fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Bash.
Good leg kick by Holmes there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Holmes moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
Holmes lands with a thumping leg kick.
Bash takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Bash fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Holmes avoids it really well and circles away.

Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.

Delroy Holmes is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Bash fails with a takedown attempt from distance.

That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for George W Bash. That's going to take a lot out of him.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Holmes connects with a leg kick. Bash looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Bash shoots in looking for a takedown. Holmes tries to sprawl out of it but Bash keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Holmes manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Holmes jabs Bash right on the nose. Bash blinks but takes it well.
Bash closes the distance and clinches up with Holmes, looking for a takedown. Bash pushes Holmes against the cage but Holmes circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Holmes lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.

Bash is rocked!
I'm just looking down at my notes here and I see that.... oh! Holmes has cracked Bash with a big right, followed by a left! He's out on his feet! Holmes lands another huge swinging hook and Bash tumbles to the canvas! The ref dives in to save Bash, before Holmes can land any more shots!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:23 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Delroy Holmes!
A relieved looking Delroy Holmes thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
