Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jorma Kampa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Carver McNulty (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kampa's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, End of All Hope. Jorma Kampa has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Jorma Kampa!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Carver McNulty!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, James Atkins and Daniel Bishop.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kampa swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Kampa plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!

Kampa drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
McNulty is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

McNulty manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

McNulty is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Kampa bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in McNulty's guard.

McNulty has his foot on Kampa's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Kampa works his way back into a safe position though.

That was a close round but I would say that Jorma Kampa will probably get the nod.

Kampa seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Kampa is looking to advance position but McNulty won't allow it.
McNulty is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Kampa's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Kampa's back!
Will McNulty go for the finish here or will he try and keep control of the position?

McNulty is nestled in close to Kampa, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Kampa doesn't manage to clinch there - McNulty circles away.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
McNulty with shots to the head and body - Kampa looks very uncomfortable down there.
Kampa bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!

McNulty looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

McNulty is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!


McNulty fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

and Kampa counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in McNulty's guard now.

Jorma Kampa overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
McNulty is trying to control Kampa's posture but Kampa avoids it.

Kampa looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks McNulty with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
McNulty moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

McNulty had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Kampa is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. McNulty Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Kampa's back instead.
Kampa rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.
McNulty is keen to just control but Kampa is a slippery customer.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Kampa closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming McNulty to the mat! McNulty manages to get full guard.

Kampa drops back looking for a leg! McNulty is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and McNulty manages to kick Kampa off! Kampa jumps back into McNulty's guard.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
McNulty looking to hit a scissor sweep but Kampa is one step ahead there.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground.
Kampa misses with the combination.
McNulty moves into range and connects with a jab.
McNulty throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Kampa takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.

Kampa feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
McNulty looking to sweep here. No luck so far.

Well Kampa has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
