Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Edmundo Edilhson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Riley Marshall (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Marshall has chosen I Shot the Sheriff by Eric Clapton as his entrance music. Riley Marshall will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Marshall gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Edilhson has Marshall pressed against the cage.
Marshall pushes Edilhson back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
Marshall swings wildly with an uppercut but Edilhson uses good head movement to avoid it.
Edilhson doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Edilhson has Marshall pressed against the cage, preventing Marshall from circling away and getting back to striking at range.

Edilhson manages to pull guard.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Marshall trying to control but Edilhson is working from the bottom.

Edilhson escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Marshall gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Edilhson is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Marshall is aware though and is defending well.
Marshall stopping the sweep attempt from Edilhson.

Marshall has gone for a leg lock! Edilhson slips out almost immediately though and dives into Marshall's guard.

Edilhson avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Marshall is striking but Edilhson is not phased and passes to half guard.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Well, if Edilhson is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Edilhson wants to pass the guard but Marshall is defending well.
Edilhson is looking to take a break and control but Marshall is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Edilhson content to control rather than advance.
Marshall tries to roll over but Edilhson keeps him under control.

Marshall is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Edilhson looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Marshall is letting Edilhson control him for a moment.

Edilhson is working to tighten is grip on Marshall's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Marshall has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Edilhson is really squeezing tight and eventually Marshall passes out! Edilhson breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
