The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No luck with that takedown attempt from Montesa.
Montesa closes this distance looking for a takedown but Roberts circles away.
Montesa moves out of range as Roberts throws a body kick.

and Montesa counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Roberts should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Roberts is trying to get back to full guard.
Montesa passes to full mount!
Roberts is trying desperately to improve position.
Montesa won't let Roberts get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now.
Montesa will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Roberts tries to hold on but Montesa pushes him away.
Roberts is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Roberts really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Montesa. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Montesa cracks Roberts with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

It looks like Jake Roberts has been cut.
