Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Kain Highwind (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mitsuyo Maeda (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mitsuyo Maeda has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Highwind moves out of range as Maeda strikes.

Highwind shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Maeda's guard.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Maeda swings widly with a right hand
and Highwind makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Highwind lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Maeda has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Maeda and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Highwind throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Maeda tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Highwind is in Maeda's guard.

Highwind feints and as Maeda raises his hands in defense, Highwind changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Maeda wants to sweep here but Highwind controlling him for the moment.

Maeda throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Highwind escapes and throws Maeda's legs to the side, diving into side control!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
