The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thomas jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Popyachtsa misses with a straight right.
Popyachtsa lands a jab to the nose.
Thomas moves out of range of the strikes.
Thomas misses with an uppercut
and Popyachtsa counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Popyachtsa misses with a hook. Thomas ducked under it nicely.
Thomas tests Popyachtsa's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Thomas gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Popyachtsa.

It looks like Black Thomas has been cut.
Popyachtsa looks to land a right hand but Thomas moved out of range.
Popyachtsa shoots in looking for a takedown. Thomas tries to sprawl out of it but Popyachtsa keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Thomas manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Popyachtsa rushes Thomas and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Thomas has had enough of the clinch but Popyachtsa keeps him there for the moment.

Thomas is looking to break free of the clinch but Popyachtsa has double underhooks.
A nice left hand lands by Popyachtsa.
Popyachtsa creates a bit of space for himself and rocks Thomas with a big uppercut! Thomas tries to clinch up but Popyachtsa pushes him back against the cage and lands another moster strike that crumples Thomas to the mat! Thomas covers up and Popyachtsa unloads with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!
