The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Boans misses with a body shot.
Boans tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Coleman paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Coleman looks to throw the jab but Boans is out of range.
Coleman works Boans's body with a nice hook.
Coleman throws a jab when Boans was well out of range.
Boans cracks Coleman with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

It looks like Mirk Coleman has been cut.

Coleman throws a shot from downtown. Boans moves away and avoids it.
Boans takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Coleman walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Boans tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Coleman cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Coleman is holding his hands too far apart here. Boans throws a hard, straight punch right down the pipe and BOOM! Coleman is out! That punch landed square on the jaw - what a shot!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:42 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Jon Boans!
Jon Boans decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
