Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Aziz Ansari (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tomi McDonald (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ansari comes to the cage accompanied by Macarena. McDonald has chosen The Daily Mail as his entrance music. Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, William Peck and Trevor Gratis.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McDonald tries to clinch but Ansari moves out of range.
McDonald throws a head kick but Ansari moves out of range.
McDonald fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Ansari.

McDonald clinches with his opponent.

McDonald manages to break the clinch.
McDonald tries to clinch up but Ansari circles away and keeps his distance.
McDonald throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Ansari's head.
McDonald misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
McDonald tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Ansari paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Ansari has a takedown stuffed.

McDonald moves into the clinch successfully.
Ansari drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.

McDonald breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Ansari closes this distance looking for a takedown but McDonald circles away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Aziz Ansari. That's going to take a lot out of him.

McDonald forces Ansari back against the cage and clinches.
McDonald lands a knee to the head.

McDonald escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
McDonald is looking to clinch.
The fight stays on the outside here - McDonald looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Ansari walks into a stiff left hand from McDonald.
Ansari dives in and grabs McDonald's left leg, looking for a takedown. McDonald pushes down on Ansari's head and hops out.
Ansari shoots for a double leg takedown but McDonald sprawls well. He's pushed Ansari's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

McDonald moves into range and clinches up with Ansari.

McDonald breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Ansari fails with the takedown.
Ansari shoots in looking for a takedown but McDonald manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Ansari's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

McDonald instigates a clinch.

McDonald escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
McDonald plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
McDonald tries to close the distance and clinch but Ansari swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
McDonald tries to clinch up but Ansari circles away and keeps his distance.
McDonald tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Ansari manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
A combination from McDonald does no damage.

Ansari shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. McDonald is trying to defend but Ansari finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Ansari works his foot free and advances to mount.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
McDonald squirming around on the bottom, looking to escape.
Ansari is landing with some decent strikes but McDonald is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
McDonald really wants to buck Ansari off and get back to his feet.
McDonald looks gassed!

Ansari is giving the impression that he's looking to ground and pound but he switches suddenly into a beautiful far side armbar! McDonald is forced to tap! Great finish!

A very excited looking Aziz Ansari rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
