Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Clovis Alfred (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pat Tuo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Pat Tuo!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Cesar, Emerson Jorge and Paulo Santos.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tuo doesn't succeed with the takedown

and Alfred counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Alfred wants to stand up but Tuo is controlling the position.
Alfred missing with the ground and pound from half guard.
Alfred wants to lay and pray for a moment but Tuo keeps working.
Tuo moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.

Alfred gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Alfred looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Tuo is fending him off so far but Alfred persists. Nope, Tuo circles away and we're back to standing.
Tuo shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Alfred defends it nicely.
Tuo fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Clovis Alfred has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Pat Tuo.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Tuo closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Alfred did well to prevent Tuo getting side control.

Tuo looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.

Tuo is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Alfred is looking to control Tuo's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Alfred avoid being mounted?
The fighters are battling for position here. Alfred manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
Tuo wants to pass the guard but Alfred is keeping the position.
Alfred manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Tuo looks gassed!
Alfred can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Tuo is looking to escape.
Alfred takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Alfred postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Tuo looks a forlorn figure.
Alfred tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Tuo takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Alfred breaks from Tuo's wrist control and lands an elbow.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Tuo is still in real trouble! Can Alfred finish him?

A big strike lands for Alfred! That's really hurt Tuo and he's turned his back - Alfred keeps firing away and the ref dives in to stop the fight! Alfred jumps to his feet to celebrate the victory!
